About Clear Perspectives

Clear Perspectives, LLC is an outpatient family mental health practice in Indianapolis, IN providing psychiatric medication management and therapy services. This practice is owned and operated by Madeline Briere, PMHNP-BC and Sabrina White, PMHNP-BC who are both board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioners. We also work with part-time therapist Drew Darwin, LMHC who sees children ages 6-18. All providers treat patients across the life-span but we all have extensive experience working with children, adolescents, young adults and their families. We believe in a person-centered approach and therefore utilize a variety of techniques including psychiatric medications, individual support with limited behavioral therapy, and lifestyle interventions to present you with a clear perspective of what your treatment plan will look like moving forward. We treat a variety of conditions including, but not limited to:

Depression, Anxiety, & Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder & Autism Spectrum

Bipolar Disorder and Perinatal Mood Disorders including Postpartum Depression, & Anxiety

Madeline Briere,

PMHNP-BC

Madeline has been practicing as a psychiatric nurse practitioner for over 7 years, primarily focused on treating children and adolescents. She has experience working in both inpatient and outpatient settings at the St. Vincent Stress Center where she maintains on staff. She has served as the primary provider for the adolescent intensive outpatient program serving those with mental health and substance abuse diagnoses.

She has additional training through the Integrative Psychiatry Institute with a goal to go beyond symptom reduction and reach a state of wellness. She is also certified in Reflective Practices Mentoring, serving as a mentor for many fellow nurse practitioners.

Madeline completed her undergraduate education at DePauw University before pursuing her graduate nursing degree at Vanderbilt University. She is a member of Coalition of Advanced Practice Registered Nurses of Indiana (CAPNI) and the American Psychiatric Nurses Association (APNA).

She believes that mental health symptoms rarely exist in a vacuum and loves to work with entire families and/or support systems to ensure she is addressing the whole picture. As an Indianapolis native, she is passionate about serving the families in this community.

Sabrina White,

PMHNP-BC, PMH-C

Sabrina has been a nurse in the mental health field the last 13 years initially as a bedside RN and has been prescribing as a nurse practitioner since 2016. She has practiced in both inpatient and intensive outpatient programming through the St. Vincent Stress Center and continues to serve as the primary provider of a therapeutic day school program for school aged children. Sabrina also has several years of experience working as a RN on a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit & Adult Medical Units and brings this additional medical knowledge and understanding to the care of her patients.

She received her Bachelors of Arts in Psychology and Spanish from Purdue University, Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Marian University, and Masters of Science in Nursing from Indiana University where she was a member of the Sigma Theta Tau Honors Society for Nursing. She is additionally Certified in the treatment of Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C) through Postpartum Support International. She was inspired to obtain this additional certification after her oldest child’s 12 week NICU stay at birth and by seeing first hand the impact this has on the family system as whole.

She is active in the local psychiatric community serving as past President and former Vice President of the Indiana Association for Child and Adult Psychiatric Nurses (2016-2023) and is a member of Postpartum Support International, Coalition of Advanced Practice Registered Nurses of Indiana and the American Psychiatric Nurses Association.

Sabrina is a lifelong resident of Indianapolis (go irish!) where she currently lives with husband and 2 children. She enjoys traveling, local museums and serves as both a room parent and secretary of the parent committee at her oldest’s school.

She feels every patient has a unique story and needs a custom treatment plan that may include collaboration with current providers, connecting to care, family support and the latest research to support a person’s physical and emotional well-being.

Drew Darwin, LMHC

Drew has been practicing as a counselor since 2016, focusing primarily on working with children and adolescents. He has experience working as the primary counselor for an intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization program for children and adolescents aged 6-13 and serving as a counselor in a K-12 therapeutic day school program.

He received a Bachelors of Arts in psychology and religious studies at Indiana University and received a Masters of Science in Education degree in Counseling and Counselor Education and an Education Specialist degree in Mental Health Counseling from the same institution.

As a lifelong Hoosier Drew is passionate about serving the children and families in his community.
